One-Way Option: For those seeking a shorter but equally remarkable experience, we also offer a one-way option. You can hike/run from the South Rim to the North Rim and shuttle back to the South Rim or choose to meet us at the North Rim and hike/run back to the South Rim with the group. This option allows you to tailor your adventure to your preferences and schedule.

You may wish to consider room sharing. Please click below to be added to the list of fit fam members who would like to share rooms. Other lodging options include organized campgrounds inside the park, as well as dispersed camping just a mile outside the entrance. Mather Campground has coin-operated showers that are open daily to all visitors from 7a-9p.
Mather Campground on the South Rim, located in Grand Canyon Village, is open all year. Desert View Campground is open for the current season (through October 16) and is located on the South Rim, 23 miles east of Grand Canyon Village.
Located in Grand Canyon, Grand Canyon Plaza Hotel is in the historical district -- close to services and restaurants -- and just a three-minute drive to Grand Canyon National Park.
Best Western Premier Grand Canyon Squire Inn in Grand Canyon is in town just outside of the park and is close to restaurants and a market.
Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Grand Canyon is a short drive to Grand Canyon National Park entrance and restaurants in Tusayan.

Everyone is welcome, as always. However, to do the crossing with us, you must attend at least half of the group training hikes we do between June and October. Keep in mind that you may opt to hike/run to the North Rim and return to the South Rim via shuttle.
The guided group effort will do South to North Rim Friday and return Saturday. Total miles ONE WAY: 32. (Once we get to the North Kaibab Trailhead, we still have to walk to the Lodge.)
To do the full-length trip, you'll need a minimum of a 1.5 liter hydration pack, hiking/running clothes and shoes, hat, buff or bandana, sunscreen, sunglasses and plenty of salty, high-calorie snacks, small first aid kit. You'll also need to carry clothing and anything else you'll need to spend the night on the North Rim. Details on gear, clothing and food recommendations will be provided in emails.
Yes, there are restrooms and water sources at 1.5-Mile Resthouse, 3-Mile Resthouse, Indian Garden (4.5 miles) and Phantom Ranch (mile 11ish), Manzanita and possibly Cottonwood.
